RHJYC and Film Oxford will be hosting free lantern making workshops for children, young people and their families during October and November!
Supported by local artist Mani, JYC and Film Oxford, children and young people will have the opportunity to take part in lantern making activities.
Children will be constructing and decorating small fish lanterns, which will be showcased during our lantern parade around the community on Saturday 18th November.
The sessions for children will take place during our regular JYC after school sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 18th October, between 3:15pm-5:15pm.

Workshops for young people
Sessions: Wednesday 18th October, 8th November, 15th November: All young people aged 11+, 5:30pm-7pm in the youth room at Rose Hill Community centre (upstairs).
Thursday 19th October, 9th November, 16th November: Girls club (ages 11+), 5:30pm-7pm in the youth room.
Hot food will also be provided at all sessions.

Workshop for families
Come and make your own fish lantern for the upcoming Creative Lights Festival (event: Sat 18th Nov)!
Join us in the hall at Rose Hill Community centre on Wednesday 1st November, 3pm-5pm.
All families are welcome, just drop-in! You do not need to be a registered member of JYC to attend.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult during this event.
The workshops and Creative Lights Festival event is funded by Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council.
