Festive food support 2021

RHJYC, with help from staff at Rose Hill Community centre and the Rose Hill Neighbourhood Police team, put together large food boxes to support families this Christmas.

The boxes consisted of surplus food delivered by SOFEA and The Oxford Food Hub, a mixture of delicious fruits and vegetables, ambient stock, dairy and meat products.

The local Neighbourhood Police team came in to help the team unload over 1 tonne of produce, pack the boxes, and deliver small boxes to local vulnerable residents.

Donors from neighbouring communities also donated hundreds of pounds worth of toiletries and cleaning products for the families to utilize this Winter. The team made up 100 bags of products including hand wash, sanitizer, soaps, shampoo, deodorant’s, anti-bacterial sprays, sponges and dental care.
