We are thrilled to announce that we have been successful in receiving a grant from Oxfordshire Community Foundation’s Thriving in Nature fund!
OCF’s Thriving in Nature grant aims to improve and enhance lives through green spaces.
Our work over the next three years will focus on developing a range of free support for children, young people and adults, who will have access to wellbeing in nature social groups, exciting nature activities and community initiatives.
We hope that our support will improve the wellbeing of local people and our projects will be designed to increase access to safe green spaces, helping to boost self-confidence and reduce social isolation for people of all ages.
We have now set up free wellbeing in nature sessions for adults, based at our community allotment space in Littlemore.
The sessions will be led by our outdoor wellbeing coordinator, Meg.
Introducing Meg
“My name is Meg, and I am the Outdoor Wellbeing Coordinator at Rose Hill Junior Youth Club.
My background is in working with young people outside and in nature. I am a Forest School Practitioner and a keen gardener in my spare time so this role really appealed to me.
I get to work with groups of all ages and backgrounds at our beautiful allotment space growing vegetables and flowers and using nature to support wellbeing.
I’m looking forward to watching how the plot develops over the seasons and how each individual and group who visits contributes and nurtures the site in their own unique way.”
Free wellbeing in nature sessions for adults

These will be relaxed sessions, where you can meet new people, chat, and even do some low-maintenance gardening, with hot drinks and snacks.
Meg will meet you at Rose Hill Community centre at 10am on Thursdays, and will walk with you to our allotment (around 5-7min walk).
Alternatively, you can meet us there any time between 10:30am – 12:30pm. Just walk up to the allotment gate located in Kempson Crescent and ring Meg to let you in.
If you are a local group or organisation in the OX4 area, who would like to work with us or refer someone to our sessions, please also get in touch.
